Do you know as much about your colon as you do about your car? Who cares? You ought to. What if your body could benefit from preventive maintenance as much as your car? Suppose you could flush out toxins and lose weight if you had a colon cleaning?
No, not a colonic irrigation like the old days at a spa. A simpler less invasive approach is a lot more common today. You can buy an herbal colon cleanse product and do it yourself. What if getting rid of years of toxic waste on the inside of your body would make you healthier? Hey? Makes sense. Right?
Compare cars and human bodies here for a couple of minutes. Both need fuel to function. Your body gets fuel from food and water. Your car gets fuel from gasoline, etc. Both car and body have to get rid of wastes.
The exhaust system in your car is the primary way it eliminates waste materials, gaseous byproducts of combustion and condensation, etc. Your colon is where the last stop in your body when liquids are absorbed out of those wastes so you can excrete solid or semi-solid wastes as feces. Liquids get sent to your kidneys for filtering and then excreted as urine. You knew that already. Right?
You are likely to notice if your car has a problem with its exhaust system before you pay attention to your own elimination system. It is just a bad day, you will say. Or maybe you did not drink enough fluids or drank too much. But when something goes wrong, you pay enough attention to get past the hurdle.
However, when it is your car, you are likely to stop by and ask your mechanic about the symptoms your car had so you can catch whatever is wrong before it becomes a major issue. Read that again. And substitute mechanic with doctor and car with body. See what it says? Stop by and ask your doctor about the symptoms your body had so you can catch whatever is wrong before it becomes a major issue.
Seems odd to me that we pay more attention to our cars than our bodies. Maybe that is why we have so many fancy cars and so many health problems. Believe it. Your body needs preventive maintenance more than your car does. Ignore it and the click click warning becomes a big clunker like it does with your car. Colon cleaning is more essential than washing your car. Check out colon cleansing products online.
A good herbal colon cleanse can easily become part of your regular preventive maintenance for your body. Look at what is available. Read the reviews. And take better care of your body. You can feel better, be healthy and lose weight by flushing out toxins that have clogged your colon for too long.

So every year we all make those resolutions about losing weight, exercising more, and eating less you know the ones. Two weeks later we drive past the Fitness Club, hang our clothes on the work out machine, and not remember what we said after all it is too grueling a task.
For me, I am one of those persons who, needs to know, has to assess things. To know I am making progress and although stepping on the scales once a week is the ultimate test how can you analyze activity during the week to make sure you’re getting enough exercise? I determined I needed to track how far I walked each day as a evaluation of my activity level. I also knew by setting myself a target I would compete with my ego to beat it.
Last year I tried out one of those super-cheap pedometers that was being giving away and found it was absolutely useless. It only recorded about half the steps I took, but counted every single little bump I hit when driving my car. An interesting, but ultimately futile experimentation.
Over the months I reviewed a slew of pedometers, and decided to go up-market and settled on the Omron HJ 112.
Whats Included The Box
The unit comes with the following:
Main Unit CR2032 battery Mini-Screwdriver for battery insertion 6 strap Clip for strap Belt holder Instruction Card Warranty Card
Features of the Omron HJ 112
After setting the date and time you need to input your weight and stride distance. Your weight is used for calorie calculations and your stride distance for calculating actual miles walked (The conversion from steps to miles). Based upon these settings the device can then measure and calculate the following.
Steps Taken Aerobic Steps taken Miles Traveled Calories Consumed
The Aerobic steps taken is an attractive addition as it tracks steps taken when you have exercised continuously for more than ten minutes at a rate of greater than 1 step per second.
The HJ 112 keeps track of historical data for seven days, so by pressing the memory button you can compare today’s achievements to the preceding week. A very useful feature if you in fact want to keep a diary or log of your activity. You should also notice that the unit automatically resets to zero at midnight, so you don’t have to remember to do it yourself in the morning.
Using The Pedometer
Although you can slip the pedometer into a pocket or a purse (as long as you keep it moderately upright) Ive found the best stance for it is either clipped to my belt or to the inside of my pants pocket. The item in fact has two unrelated motion detectors, so unless its positioned parallel to the ground or swung around like a pendulum you will get an true analysis. The actual clip is small very small, so if you bend over you can force the pedometer off the belt. Since there is also a safety strap you should fasten that as well to keep the HJ 112 safe and secure. It has never completely fallen off during exercise.
One added benefit, especially if you’re using it in the course of the workday, is that it is completely silent.
Accuracy
The device is amazingly accurate ” Ive tested it walking, on a treadmill , going up and down stairs and jogging ” and every time it has been accurate to within one counted step. There is a maximum settable stride length of four feet ” so if you have long legs and are a serious runner it may not track the distance accurately ” although rest assured it will track every single step you take.
Motivation
As mentioned in the previous section I keep the device mainly on my belt ” even at work. The HJ 112 is a stylish burnished metallic unit, about 2 height by 1 wide and at first glance could be mistaken for a cell phone.
I set my individual goal to 10,000 steps a day ” which is a challenge unless I work out every day on my treadmill or walk the dog several times. I have found that the feedback helps me add steps into my everyday routine. By not parking in the closest parking spot, taking the stairs and so on I can add almost 2,000 steps a day. 2,000 steps is about 1 mile which equates to just over 100 calories. Do that every day and that’s equivalent to losing a pound a month just through incremental exercise!!!
What Do I Think?
If you are at all serious with reference to purchasing a pedometer the Omron HJ 112 is worth a serious look. It is rated the number one pedometer by consumer users and is definitely a great fit for me!

Exercise and diet can be much to think about but the effective weight loss they bring can make good health last for a longer time.
People nowadays are too busy working and doing every kind of activity that they seem to have no time to cook food at home. Especially on working days, they leave the house, eat out at lunch, and when they get home, order something to eat from the nearest fast food restaurant. This all seems convenient to them because they get to sleep and rest right after. But one thing they usually pay no heed to is their fitness. Fast foods are processed foods and contain higher amounts of calories compared to when meals from fresh produce are prepared at home. So they are actually exposing themselves to probable diseases that are associated with having too much cholesterol, sugar, and fat.
So to avoid this from happening and if we notice that our weight is not anymore normal for our age, we should learn how to exercise well. A strenuous physical activity can help us to be in good shape, may it be doing sports, working out in the gym or just in the house doing some lawn work. We should be able to give time for these kinds of activities in our daily schedule. Although some would refuse to make it a daily habit because they can always go to the gym in the weekend, making it a daily routine would still be beneficial than that a weekly one. A good reason for that is when people do exercise on a weekly basis, they tend to be lazy and postpone the activity to the following week but if they make it a daily one, then the idea of moving it to another day would be unlikely. Fitness training involves self discipline. Because of the unhealthy food that we eat and all that fat that we take in, we should expel them from our bodies by burning excessive calories that are preventing us to have a healthy body. And because being obese can sometimes have an effect on our self esteem, discipline is the way to achieve our goal to not just having good physical health but a stable emotional being as well.
Apart from exercising, we should also be concerned about what we eat. A balanced diet is the best way to living a good healthy life. If we work out but we still eat the same fatty foods and the same amount of it then we are just making a fool out of ourselves. We are just wasting efforts in trying to eliminate fat and all the excess weight in our body. We should know what to eat because being aware means that we are taking care of ourselves and our family and we don’t want illnesses taking our loved ones away. It may not be as convenient as going to fast food joints but it surely secures our health for the future. Diet plans are a good way of keeping our family from eating the wrong food and making sure that they eat what is good. We should get fresh produce from the market and try to avoid processed ones like food in cans and those with preservatives. Home made food doesn’t just assure that they are healthy but they can make the family closer.
A very good reason why we do this is because we should not take life for granted. We avoid being obese and fat because we don’t want life to be taken away from us. We should embrace life and share its goodness. This is a good reason to stay fit.

Over the last several years, low-carb dieting has become a big catch phrase in the diet industry. It’s a fact that many of the high carb foods so many of us ingest are not high metabolism foods, but we do need carbohydrates for energy. Simply put, we should not completely eliminate carbs from our diets. Why?
Low-carb diets can have long-term health risks. If you do get yourself involved in a low carbohydrate diet, make sure that you keep it short term. Some of these health risks are actually quite alarming.
For one, diets that are high in animal proteins build up acids in your bloodstream that come as by products of digesting large amounts of animal protein. Unfortunately, our bodies leach calcium from our bones to neutralize these acids. This is a particularly severe problem for women and can can lead to osteoporosis over the long term.
Additionally, there is a higher risk of cancer with these types of diets over the long term. The American Institute for Cancer Research states that low carbohydrate diets that are low in whole grains, fruits and vegetables (all excellent metabolism foods) and at the same time high in animal proteins increase your risk of getting certain types of cancer.
There’s another problem with low carbohydrate diets, which is that they increase the amount of fats we eat. In fact, studies have shown that countries that consume vast amounts of fats also have the highest rates of breast cancer. Therefore, particularly if you are a woman, make sure you get a large amount of high-fiber metabolism foods in your diet to reduce your risk of breast cancer.
Even more alarming, over consumption of saturated fat is a known risk factor for raising LDL cholesterol, heart disease and stroke.
To effectively lose weight, we need to include carbohydrates, proteins and fats in our diets. Our body needs them all – in the right proportions. There are many alternative high metabolism foods in each of the three categories that are healthier than others, but we need all three.
The only sure way to lose weight effectively and keep it off is to increase your metabolic rate with the best metabolism foods for your body. It’s healthy to do this, too, as long as you do so safely. It’s also a pretty simple thing to do and it’s never going to mean you’ll starve yourself. In fact, if you’re hungry, you’re not doing it right.

If you are looking for a fat burning diet then you have come to the right place. This guide will take a look at the best fat burning diet out there. The best fat burning diets are the ones that include vigorous exercise on a daily basis.
The only way that you can really burn fat is to exercise. Exercising may seem like a difficult task on a daily basis, but it is truly the best way to lose weight fast and burn fat. The main question on your mind is probably how many calories you should eat on a daily basis.
A fat burning diet actually doesn’t require you to cut calories. If you know your metabolic rate you should eat the same number of calories on a daily basis. The way that you are going to lose weight is through intense exercise on a daily basis. While on your fat burning diet you are going to need to avoid certain types of foods and gravitate towards other types of foods. While on a fat burning diet you are going to want to limit the amount of saturated fat that you take in. The worst type of fat is saturated fat, but it is important to understand the difference between saturated fat and unsaturated fat.
When you are on a fat burning diet you should stay away from saturated fat and lean towards unsaturated fat for your fat intake. Saturated fat is fat that is solid at room temperature.
If you eat saturated fat it will increase your body’s percentage of body fat. Unsaturated fat is fat that is liquid at room temperature. This type of fat will leave your body after going through the digestive system which is why it is great for a fat burning diet.
The most important part of a fat burning diet is getting your heart rate up as high as possible on a daily basis. You need to jog at a very fast pace to burn fat because you need the muscles to access their reserve stores of fat in the body.
If you do not jog at an extremely fast rate you will burn calories, but you will not necessarily burn fat that is sitting around your body in unsightly places. Exercising can be difficult, but it is really the only way to lose weight. Just remember, exercising on a daily basis is the key to a successful fat burning diet.

Trying to burn belly fat fast is not a tough thing to do, though it can seem that way if you are trying to go about it the wrong way. This articles will show you some simple ways you can start to burn belly fat without jumping on the next crazy diet bandwagon or using an infomercial gimmick that promises easy results in just “6 minutes per day”.
How to Burn Belly Fat Fast
Tip #1 – Avoid “quick fix” diets that promise overnight result
There are a lot of different “quick fixes”, but what you really want to avoid is using a “crash diet.” A crash diet essentially means that you try to starve yourself by purposely eating as little as possible in hopes it will help you burn fat. For example, many people try to eat only one meal a day and try to maintain this as a lifestyle. A crash diet will only cause you more grief then results. It will put your body into starvation mode and crash your metabolism. You may lose some belly fat but in the long run your metabolism will slow down and you will lose muscle mass. This makes it even harder to burn belly fat.
Don’t use a crash diet. Try to eat 5-6 smaller meals in a day. This will keep you full, and will prevent spikes in your blood sugar. Eating high quality protein (such as chicken, turkey, fish, tuna, etc) will help you lose your belly fat as these foods take a lot of energy to digest.
Vitamin rich foods packed with minerals and high nutritional value such as fruits and vegetables will help you lose your belly fat because they are not very calorie dense. This means you can eat a lot of fruits and vegetables and not consume as many calories as you would eating processed food.
This helps you burn belly fat and do it fast because you are essentially eating more food but consuming fewer calories.
Tip #2 – Really push yourself when you workout!
If you do intense workouts as opposed to workouts where you never really push yourself, then you will be on the right track to burn belly fat fast. Pushing yourself hard when you workout gets your metabolism going and it will keep it elevated so you keep burning calories long after you are finished working out.
The trick is to push your self hard for short periods of time. Not for a long, extended workout.
Try the following exercises and read the instructions below. You will feel a huge difference between the intensity of this vs. your old workouts.
12 body weight squats
15 dumbbell swings
12 pushups
Do this series of exercises and do as many rounds as you can in 10 minutes. You will feel how intense this workout is if you do this!
Tip 3 – Instead of doing long, slow cardio, try doing intervals
Interval training will help you burn belly fat fast because it will help boost your metabolism for hours after you are done working out. High intensity interval training switches back and forth from high and low intensities, so you are still pushing your self out of your comfort zone for short, quick bursts.
Since you alternate between these intensities in a very meticulous way, you will find yourself working much harder than before. 20 minutes of interval training often feels like 60 minutes of normal, same speed cardio!

Exercise is important for anyone at any age especially for women. Fat burning exercises for women do not have to be complicated or confusing. This article will take a look at 5 effective workouts for women that burn fat and are easy and can be done almost anywhere.
1.Jog, Run, Sprint
Alternating your workout speed will burn the most calories without taking too much time. For an effective workout that will burn the most calories try alternating intensities such as sprinting for 30 seconds, jogging for 2 minutes later, and then running for 1 minute, and switching off between the three for about 2-3 miles.
If you are just starting out exercising it is good to push your body but only go to the limits you know you can go to, so you do not face any injury. I do not recommend walking as it will not burn fat nearly as fast as a harder workout
2. Don’t Forget Strength Training
Strength training along with the first workout mentioned here will boost the woman’s metabolism for greater fat burning capacity. Strength training is an individual workout that needs to be customized to the individual so you do not overstress your body. Try a 20 minutes of strength training along with 30 minutes of cardio for maximum fat burning efficiency.
3. Push Up’s and Bicycle Crunches
Push up’s and bicycle crunches are an amazing free way to burn fat right from your own home! Once your body gets to a slimmer figure the abs you will obtain through these exercises will act as a natural girdle to keep your figure.
Strengthening your mid body muscles helps fat burning while doing other exercises since your body has more muscle to feed while working out. The more muscles a women has the more calories even at rest they will burn.
4. Get On Your Bicycle!
Cycling either at the gym or down the road is a great way to burn fat while switching up exercises. Take the bike to the beach or just around the block for a change of scenery to help encourage a longer workout. Try to bike for at least 30 minutes at a moderate intensity, again switching intensities up.
5. Rowing
Rowing is a great all around exercise; it mixes cardio with strength training for a maximum fat burning workout. If rowing machines are not your thing you can always buy a kayak which works many of the same muscles with a lesser intensity, but it is also more fun. Remember make your workouts fun or else you will not stick with them.

It is fairly hard to look for someone who wishes to be fat, but you’ll find a big deal of people who simply wish to get a slim and toned body. You don’t need to worry however in losing extra pounds since there are proven ways that you can do in order to get rid of the stress of carrying bulges of fats everyday. Here are the top 10 quick ways to lose fat:
1. Drink Ice Cold Water – You might be asking what the connection of drinking cold water and losing weight? Actually, cold water can boost the ability of the body to burn fat faster. So stop spending your money on useless fat-weight gainers such as soda, coffee, juices, etc since the magical formula to go with is simply something that you can obtain almost everywhere-water!
2. Eat Less – For an obvious reason, you eat less in order to gain less calories. At first, try to consider the total amount of calories that you would enter in your body then try to start cutting few calories each week. If you lose weight, continue to eat the same amount but if you don’t then its better to cut another 500 calories. There are websites online that would help you assess the total calories consumed by your body. Don’t try to go for 2000 calories diet immediately, take your time.
3. Burn Calories – As part of not eating a lot, you also need to burn more calories hence its about time to start moving your butt off that slouching position that you would always maintain. Be active. By doing exercising, you will not simply lose fat but you will feel and look healthier too! There are wide range of sports that you can go for, pick one that you will enjoy.
4. Kill your Cravings – Indulge yourself to a lot of protein such as jerky, nuts, fish and chicken. Try to also consume raw vegetables and water can further kill your cravings so stock them up on your fridge. The time when you start eating raw vegetables, you will surely stop the ugly cravings for junk foods so better do it fast!
5. Consume the same type of food Each Day – You have to realize the fact that the more variety you put into your diet then the less you are going to stick to it. What you have to do is to consume the same food each day. Furthermore, doing this will teach your body to learn the fact that food serves as a fuel; and not really pleasure. Choose several healthy as well as balanced meals that you like. Make it a point to eat them every day. Once you get bored, its time to change the meal plan.
6. Do Something Great Each Morning – You can wake up and sweat for about 30 minutes each morning. Although some hate the idea of exercising but with continuity, it will turn out into a habit.
7. Walk for 10 Minutes After Eating – Doing this will allow you to increase the quantity of calories that you burn. If you eat 3 meals each day then you can take benefit of 30 minutes walking per day. (3 meals x 10 minutes walks)
8. Eat Healthy – Stop munching on that junk food! Furthermore, consider the fact that your body stores carb in a form of fat the moment when you eat too much of it so lower your carb and increase your fat intake so it will force your body to use fat as energy.
9. Do Cardio Exercises – Doing this will allow your body to lose fat even faster and it will allow you to eat less. However, its important to moderate intensity. Keep in mind that your goal is to lose fat and not to exhaust yourself to death. You must be able to breathe heavier when you rest but not to the point that you are gasping.
10. Stay Motivated – The problem with people is the fact that they lose the interest in losing weight hence they end up failing with their goal. That said, its highly important to seat goals and keep a tract record of everything. However, the weighing scale is not always your best friend, instead try to see how you are doing by doing a blood test so you can see the health improvement or by taking pictures of yourself every 4 weeks. You can also make use of the weigh scale at least once a week so you would know how you are doing.

If you’re eating the typical North American diet, you are probably consuming too much fat. You should not be getting more than 30% of your calories from fat. If you want to lose weight, you’ll probably need to cut the amount of fat in your diet. Do not, however, make the mistake of cutting all of the fat in your diet. Some foods will help you burn fat. Let’s examine what foods will give you the fat you need in your diet and why no-fat diets fail.
The number one reason that extreme no-fat and low fat diets fail is that people mistake low fat with healthy. Just because a snack is low in fat doesn’t mean that it is good for you.
Processed foods contain empty calories and sugars that will cause you to gain weight. Focus on eating whole foods like fruits, vegetables, and grains. These foods will give your body the nutrition it needs without the high levels of sugar and salt found in crackers and cookies.
If you are cutting down severely on fats and calories, you’re body will react by going into starvation mode. Instead of burning the fat, your body’s metabolism will slow down and it will work to store the fat that it has available. The only way you can lose fat is to feed the body what it needs.
You’ve heard before that not all fats are equal. Saturated fat can lead to heart disease and should be largely avoided. Meat and cheese is full of the fats that you don’t want in your diet. So cut down on your intake of these foods and focus on the foods that provide the essential fatty acids.
One food that is great to incorporate into your diet is the avocado. The fat in the avocado is made up primarily of mono-unsaturated fats. In addition to the healthy fats of the avocado, you are getting other nutritional benefits such as vitamins A, B, and E. Avocado’s will give your body the energy it needs during your muscle building routines. And they’re great for your immune system, skin, and hair.
Flax is another great food. Flax seed oil contains both Omega 3 and Omega 6. There are several ways you can add flax seed oil to your diet. You can also buy flax seed oil from health food stores and some grocery stores, but make sure it is kept refrigerated and keep a close eye on the expiration date. You can drink it straight or add it to smoothies if you don’t like the taste.
Ground flax seeds are another way to add this food to your diet. Whichever way you choose, be sure to not heat the flax as that destroys its beneficial properties. If you want the benefits of flax seed oil without the hassle you can purchase flax seed oil pills.
A third food that can help you burn fat by adding fat to your diet is walnuts. Walnuts contain the healthy fats and are a good source of protein. Adding a handful of walnuts to your breakfast in the morning will ensure that you have the energy you need for your day. Keep walnuts in your desk at work to provide a healthy snack.
Replacing the saturated fat with these three foods will help you lose weight and be healthy. Although you can have them daily, be sure you are not relying too much on these foods and focus on a well balanced diet.

Are you amazed at how Beyonce was able to lose whopping 20 pounds just mere days before she had to start filming Dreamgirls? Are you curious as to how Jared Leto was able to reclaim his hot body after he had put on 62 pounds to play his role in Mark David Chapman? No, it does not involve chefs making you salads 3 times a day nor does it include hiring a gym trainer.
Im sure youve probably heard about the master cleanse diet. This diet was created some 50 years ago by an alternative medicine practitioner by the name of Stanley Burroughs. He had designed the diet to be a cleansing diet which would allow the dieter to excrete the toxins he had accumulated in his body throughout the years.
This diet is really simple in that it involves nothing but the mere consumption of lemonade all throughout the diet period. All that you need to come up with this lemonade are the basic fresh lemon juice, maple syrup and cayenne pepper. It may take a lot of getting used to with the cayenne flavor but you cannot omit any of the ingredients except probably with the maple syrup.
You cant go nosedive into the diet which means you will need to go through an ease-in period first.
The ease in period is a few days before you start the diet wherein you devote all your time to altering your diet to prepare you for what is to happen during the actual diet. You may think about exchanging fruits and vegetables for all the red meat.
Finally, after the ease in period you can finally start with your diet. The average duration of your diet should be 10 days but this ultimately depends on you. Some have dieted for as little as 7 and as many as 12 days.
The main idea of the diet is that you can drink as much lemonade as you want or need to chase any hunger pangs away.
Last but never at all the least, you will have to take laxatives the entire time that you are on the master cleanse diet. You will need the laxatives since you will not have any access to fiber the entire time and that can give you problems when it comes to your daily bathroom routine.
Your bathroom routine will be important as you will be removing toxins by means of excretion.
