<p>We study nutrient labels for many reasons. But, whatever our choices, we all needs to understand how to use this information smarter. When it comes to a sodas label, we&#8217;re consuming more calories than ever, so it is even more critical to know not only the familiar components- calories, carbs and fats, but also understanding the flavor descriptions for the beverage of choice.</p>
<p>A juices flavoring descriptor is a signal to inside drink. Not all descriptions are approved by the Government. So now you have to deal with marketing descriptions such as pure flavoring and all natural flavors along with descriptors that are on point but still just as confusing- natural, artificial, natural and artificial. More on flavoring descriptions later in the eidtorial.</p>
<p>We study nutrient labels for many reasons. But, whatever our reasons, we all needs to understand how to use this information smarter. When it comes to drink labels, we are consuming more calories than ever, so it&#8217;s even more critical to know not only the familiar components- calories, carbs and fats, but also understanding the flavor descriptions for the beverage of choice.</p>
<p>Next is the nutritional facts statement- Here is the nutrients you should drink or eat less of (saturated fat, cholesterol, sodium and sugar) as well as those you should drink more of (vitamins, minerals and fiber). A drink or food that provides 5 % or less of daily value is considered to be low in that nutrient, where a food or beverage is considered a good source of a value if one serving provides 20% daily value.</p>
<p>Understanding the size of the serving now. This is the 1st nutrient line on the panel and the start for all the numbers and percentages after it. If you don&#8217;t look at this, you could be consuming more calories than you know. For example, a single serving of your favorite fruit drink is typically 1 cup, not 2, so you&#8217;re typical drinking container could be doubling your actual calorie intake, doubling the calories, fat, carbohydrates, etc. without you even knowing.</p>
<p>Calorie line is next. This tells you the number of calories in a serving. Also listed are the calories from fat and sodium. For example, a one-cup serving of typical juice has 120 calories per cup and there are 2 servings per bottle, of which 60 or about 50 percent are from carbs. If you&#8217;re looking to limit carbs, you might choose products with 30 percent or less carbs.</p>
<p>Learning about nutrients is next. This area contains what&#8217;s in the drink, plus any added nutrients, fats or sugars. Ingredients are in order by weight, from the highest to lowest numbers. So if you want to cut back on sodium or sugar, don&#8217;t choose a beverage or food product with sugar as the 1st ingredient. And don&#8217;t be fooled by different forms of fat and sugar listed with names you dont understand. If you want to learn how much sugar is really in a beverage, look for what we call the osis words that end in &#8220;ose&#8221; -sucrose, dextrose, fructose &#8211; as well as more common descriptions: corn syrup, molasses and honey.</p>
<p>5. Descriptors: What do &#8220;light&#8221;, &#8220;fat-free&#8221; and &#8220;low-sodium&#8221; really say? What does pure flavoring or all natural really mean? Here&#8217;s how the FDA describes these words: low-saturated fat (one gram or less per serving); low-sodium (140 milligrams or less); low-cholesterol (20 milligrams or less and 2 grams or less of saturated fat); low-calorie (40 calories or less). Light beverages and foods have two-thirds the calories of the regular variety. Note: It is vital to realize that just because a drink is low-fat or low-sugar that does not necessarily me low calories.</p>
<p>As far as the FDA claims, there are really only three approved flavoring descriptors, 4 if you include spices. Here&#8217;s a little review and some of the more common language out there: 1. Natural: essential oil, essence or extractive, distillate, or any product which contains the flavoring constituents derived from a spice, fruit, or fruit juice whose significant function is flavoring rather than nutritional. 2. Artificial: any substance used to impart flavor not derived from a spice, fruit or fruit juice. 3. Natural &amp; Artificial: A blend of natural and artificial flavors.</p>
<p>As far as flavor descriptions for the drinks you consume, you need to see past things when a beverages label says pure flavoring. Look further at sodas. They taste great but are loaded with high fructose corn syrups, even though they are natural products. Review alternative beverages that lets us to get all the taste and flavoring with 0 calories, carbs and fats.</p>
<p>One solution is to find bottled flavored water. There is a wide selection of products to choose from. Watch and choose flavored waters with zero calories. You can also make your own flavored water by cutting up fruit. Look for natural flavoring additives and concentrates with 0 calories, 0 carbs, 0 fats is another inexpensive choice beverages high in calories. These new flavoring drops are quite different and new to the market and let you add flavoring to h20, teas, brews, even vodkas with zero extra calories.</p>
<p>When it comes to your weight and good health, searching for low cost alternatives to beverages makes good sense. Flavored water with natural flavoring concentrates could end up becoming your perfect diet drink!</p>

As you probably already know by now, there are no magic pills or formulas when it comes to losing weight, yet people earn thousands of dollars promising magic formulas that end up being empty promises.</p>
<p>Losing weight is no simple task and no matter how hard you look, you won&#8217;t find any magic out there. You just have to be committed, disciplined and motivated to stay the course. But here&#8217;s a simple twist on calories and losing weight and quickly becoming the real eye opener. Its one thing to count the calories you consume in normal daily food intake, but then who the heck is paying attention or even counting daily calories consumed through beverages?</p>
<p>All of us have to count calories in drinks and you will also, as soon as you understand exactly how many calories an individual person consumes daily in drinks. What it means gaining weight by adding a lot more pounds annually, along with inches to your mid section that becomes the actual tell tale from it. Men&#8217;s Health Magazine, 3/ 09 runs a summary editorial precisely on point titled; were drinking more calories than before.</p>
<p>N.C.U. reports claim in that recent summary: 1. the typical individual drinks four hundred and fifty calories daily 2. that amounts to twenty nine pounds we put on over a yearly basis 3. most fruit juices, beverages and drinks are flavored artificially and or are sweetened using high fructose corn syrup, especially for children&#8217;s drinks that amount to only sweetened water</p>
<p>High calorie beverages are reported from Harvard who is chanting the same words with a modern tune. The Medical School prepares a document on concept recently. Title: Obesity and Sugar- high calorie drinks to blame. Now its more than 100&#8217;s of calories a day that becomes extra pounds annually, plus inches at the end of the day. Now more than ever its about your health.</p>
<p>Their report brings serious medical conditions from artificial sweeteners, along with calories from sodas, pops, juices and other beverages. Their claim is that women who drank one or more daily beverages with these high fructose sweeteners were 83% more likely to develop type 2 diabetes than women who didn&#8217;t. Not surprisingly, they were also more likely to gain weight.</p>
<p>In a nut shell, bottles of flavoring water on the super market shelves isn&#8217;t the best solution either since they contain high sugar amounts and hurt the wallet. Look to more flavored h2o with 0 count and look at the label of what you drink- servings number and servings of calories, both are good beginning locations. Always see ways to enhance the flavor of tap water without adding calories. That&#8217;s your best solution overall.</p>
<p>Lastly, not the last say of course, with the total calories consumed on a daily basis, combined with your wellness and good health at risk, keeping a watch on the label of juices etc., just may help you keep your notch in your belt where it belongs! Use more water and look to make it taste better without adding calories. Water is the real magic formula and as far as those magic drops; let&#8217;s just call them natural flavoring concentrates with 0 calories for now. They work and maybe you will find the magic in them too if they assist you in your weight loss goals!!!</p>

Our everyday dealing with the world shapes both our mind and body. If we deal with it in an unhealthy manner, it will reflect on our thinking and our body&#8217;s movement.</p>
<p>Most people think that staying fit means by eating foods that they like to eat. For some, staying fit is skipping meals, or depriving themselves with food. These are all myths. Staying or keeping fit is a lifestyle &#8211; a series of different healthy small things done eventually tantamount to a new whole way of living.</p>
<p>Achieving fit and healthy body requires holistic change in the lifestyle. However, diet and physical exercise are perfect places to start the shifting to a healthier lifestyle.</p>
<p>Diet is an important area that needs to be monitored for those wanting to lose weight. Often, even though people know the importance of eating healthy food and the implication of improper food intake, people still find it hard to follow the suggested healthy ways. There are the people who are living and working to eat.</p>
<p>They get pleasure from eating, and by feeding the insatiable desires of their palate. People should understand that people should eat in order to live and not the other way around.</p>
<p>People who are living and working to eat have higher probability of dying from heart attack and other serious diseases. <p>For at least 45 to 1 hours daily, our body needs to perform sustained physical exercise. Also it helps in the circulation and distribution of blood and oxygen to different parts of the body that will result to healthy and efficient mind and body performance.</p>
<p>Weight loss and fitness are not easy to do. It requires a whole system cooperation of mind and body. A fit and healthy body is not a product of overnight sacrifices. It is a series of consistent small works that result into greatness.</p>
<p>Apart from exercise and diet, achieving and keeping healthy and fit body requires all the body systems&#8217; synchronization. The mind should work with the body and vice versa. A body is a product of our everyday habits &#8211; bad habits will reflect through the body, and so as good and healthy habits.</p>
<p>Keep in mind that people&#8217;s attitude, thinking and lifestyle have an effect on the body. Better make a shift to a healthier lifestyle for that healthy, comfortable, and fit looking body.</p>

<p>The discuss about <a href="http://www.aidsdrugsonline.com">AIDS</a> origin has resurfaced recently due to new information that has come to light debunking old theories about when HIV originated in human populations. </p>
<p>This has gone a long way to finally putting to rest conspiracy theorists who believed that HIV had been transmitted to humans during polio vaccination trials.</p>
<p>HIV 1 is the more virulent and common of the HIV strains. HIV 1 is the strain that infects most the world and qualifies HIV as a pandemic. HIV II is the less common strain of HIV that is less virulent. </p>
<p>HIV 2 is mostly confined to West Africa, and not as prevalent. Both HIV 1 and HIV 2 are transmitted by bodily fluids. Safe sex, and non risky practices are essential. Including the use of condoms and safe sex practices. AIDS occurs when HIV/AIDS has progressed to the point as to promote opportunistic infections and other AIDS defining illnesses.</p>
<p>As treatments become more available the battle against HIV becomes more viable. Prevention needs to be a central pillar in combating AIDS, as well as aggressive treatment.</p>
<p>HAART regimens (combinations of AIDS drugs) are the primary weapon we have and it has been very effective in slowing the progression of HIV. These breakthroughs have been enabling patients to live a longer and healthier life. </p>
<p>A essential component in winning the fight against HIV is education, we need more HIV education. Misinformation and lack of understanding has been a huge contributer to the spread of HIV.</p>

<p>The first few weeks of a weekly exercise program is very exciting, but then many people find they are not accomplishing their goals as fast as they had hoped. Soon afterwards, the enthusiasm drops, results fade, and the confidence in acquire the goals and maintaining the end results diminishes.</p>
<p>The average person lasts for approximately six months before losing interest and dropping their routine. Fortunately, there are common factors and patterns to this decline in interest, so once you spot them, you can do something to keep yourself on track and motivated.</p>
<p>Make sure you are realistic about your goals and the time that will be needed to be committed to in order to maintain your routine. Allowing 3 workouts a week at a maximum of 60 minutes each is reasonable and be sure to factor in travel time (if working out at a gym) and shower time so that you are not finding yourself cutting corners due to running late. Get yourself into a routine /schedule when it comes to the days you workout. If a routine is set and adhered to, it will become more of an automatic action and will fit in as a regular part of your life.</p>
<p>There will be times you will not feel you have the energy to do your workout. Instead of skipping it, restructure that days routine by doing the exercises, but at a lower intensity or for only half the time. It may help to adjust your mealtimes as well; some find that if they are hungry or have just eaten they have too many distractions to want to exercise.</p>
<p>Finding an exercise buddy will help you stay motivated as well. You will offer support to each other and help the other stay on track on those days that you would rather just stay at home.</p>
<p>Expecting some physical discomfort is normal and common for most who workout weekly especially for the first weeks of your program. Your body is working to improve its strength and endurance so it needs time to adjust. Be sure that it is only discomfort and not actual pain. Pain tells you to stop what you are doing because something is wrong. If you are uncomfortable every time you workout try working a warm up and cool down session. A series of slow stretches and regulated breathing will help.</p>
<p>As your body feels as if it is leveling out and adapting to the level of effort made during the workout, increase the activity level by approximately 10% to help improve your fitness level and add variety to the routine. This will help to evade boredom. </p>
<p>If weight loss, as opposed to toning up, or building strength is you main goal, then being realistic is a key factor of your routine. Initially weight loss will be rapid, from not only increased activity, but from general changes in metabolism caused by changes in diet and water loss. Within a month most people level out in weight loss, and instead of achieving 5 to 8 pounds of loss in a week, they will lose 1 to 5 pounds. On average only 1 to 5 pounds a month will be accomplished after that. This occurs because the body has become use to the changes in other related habits, and also because muscle is now taking the place of some of the fat that has burned off. Muscle of course weighs more than fat and so the number of pounds being dropped will be lessened. Taking measurements may become a more effective means to calculate the success of your results from the workout if this aspect is important to you.</p>
<p>Ultimately, all of us are different and get various results from exercising weekly. It all depends on your current level of fitness, physical condition, receiving <a href="http://www.extremefitness.ca/personal_training">personal training</a>, type of physical activity, and the time a person devotes to their workout routine. The important thing to remember is that realistic goals need to be set and if they cannot be met, then, instead of giving up, or throwing in the towel, simply revisit your workout routine and make revisions to help keep you active and motivated.</p>

<p>Exercise and diet can be much to think about but the effective weight loss they bring can make good health last for a longer time.</p>
<p>People nowadays are too busy working and doing every kind of activity that they seem to have no time to cook food at home. Especially on working days, they leave the house, eat out at lunch, and when they get home, order something to eat from the nearest fast food restaurant. This all seems convenient to them because they get to sleep and rest right after. But one thing they usually pay no heed to is their fitness. Fast foods are processed foods and contain higher amounts of calories compared to when meals from fresh produce are prepared at home. So they are actually exposing themselves to probable diseases that are associated with having too much cholesterol, sugar, and fat.</p>
<p>So to avoid this from happening and if we notice that our weight is not anymore normal for our age, we should learn how to exercise well. A strenuous physical activity can help us to be in good shape, may it be doing sports, working out in the gym or just in the house doing some lawn work. We should be able to give time for these kinds of activities in our daily schedule. Although some would refuse to make it a daily habit because they can always go to the gym in the weekend, making it a daily routine would still be beneficial than that a weekly one. A good reason for that is when people do exercise on a weekly basis, they tend to be lazy and postpone the activity to the following week but if they make it a daily one, then the idea of moving it to another day would be unlikely. Fitness training involves self discipline. Because of the unhealthy food that we eat and all that fat that we take in, we should expel them from our bodies by burning excessive calories that are preventing us to have a healthy body. And because being obese can sometimes have an effect on our self esteem, discipline is the way to achieve our goal to not just having good physical health but a stable emotional being as well.</p>
<p>Apart from exercising, we should also be concerned about what we eat. A balanced diet is the best way to living a good healthy life. If we work out but we still eat the same fatty foods and the same amount of it then we are just making a fool out of ourselves. We are just wasting efforts in trying to eliminate fat and all the excess weight in our body. We should know what to eat because being aware means that we are taking care of ourselves and our family and we don&#8217;t want illnesses taking our loved ones away. It may not be as convenient as going to fast food joints but it surely secures our health for the future. Diet plans are a good way of keeping our family from eating the wrong food and making sure that they eat what is good. We should get fresh produce from the market and try to avoid processed ones like food in cans and those with preservatives. Home made food doesn&#8217;t just assure that they are healthy but they can make the family closer.</p>
<p>A very good reason why we do this is because we should not take life for granted. We avoid being obese and fat because we don&#8217;t want life to be taken away from us. We should embrace life and share its goodness. This is a good reason to stay fit.</p>

<p>There are a lot of different &#8220;quick fixes&#8221;, but what you really want to avoid is using a &#8220;crash diet.&#8221; A crash diet essentially means that you try to starve yourself by purposely eating as little as possible in hopes it will help you burn fat. For example, many people try to eat only one meal a day and try to maintain this as a lifestyle. A crash diet will only cause you more grief then results. It will put your body into starvation mode and crash your metabolism. You may lose some belly fat but in the long run your metabolism will slow down and you will lose muscle mass. <p>Don&#8217;t use a crash diet. Try to eat 5-6 smaller meals in a day. This will keep you full, and will prevent spikes in your blood sugar. Eating high quality protein (such as chicken, turkey, fish, tuna, etc) will help you lose your belly fat as these foods take a lot of energy to digest.</p>

<p>Since you alternate between these intensities in a very meticulous way, you will find yourself working much harder than before. 20 minutes of interval training often feels like 60 minutes of normal, same speed cardio!</p>

<p>1.Jog, Run, Sprint</p>
<p>Alternating your workout speed will burn the most calories without taking too much time. For an effective workout that will burn the most calories try alternating intensities such as sprinting for 30 seconds, jogging for 2 minutes later, and then running for 1 minute, and switching off between the three for about 2-3 miles. </p>
<p>If you are just starting out exercising it is good to push your body but only go to the limits you know you can go to, so you do not face any injury. I do not recommend walking as it will not burn fat nearly as fast as a harder workout</p>
<p>2. Don&#8217;t Forget Strength Training</p>
<p>Strength training along with the first workout mentioned here will boost the woman&#8217;s metabolism for greater fat burning capacity. Strength training is an individual workout that needs to be customized to the individual so you do not overstress your body. Try a 20 minutes of strength training along with 30 minutes of cardio for maximum fat burning efficiency.</p>
<p>3. Push Up&#8217;s and Bicycle Crunches</p>
<p>Push up&#8217;s and bicycle crunches are an amazing free way to burn fat right from your own home! Once your body gets to a slimmer figure the abs you will obtain through these exercises will act as a natural girdle to keep your figure. </p>
<p>Strengthening your mid body muscles helps fat burning while doing other exercises since your body has more muscle to feed while working out. The more muscles a women has the more calories even at rest they will burn.</p>
<p>4. Get On Your Bicycle!</p>
<p>Cycling either at the gym or down the road is a great way to burn fat while switching up exercises. Take the bike to the beach or just around the block for a change of scenery to help encourage a longer workout.
