<p>Keeping fit doesn&#8217;t automatically mean being slim, sometimes slim is not healthy. The shape of our body is a product of our habitual actions. Our everyday dealing with the world shapes both our mind and body. If we deal with it in an unhealthy manner, it will reflect on our thinking and our body&#8217;s movement.</p>
<p>Most people think that staying fit means by eating foods that they like to eat. For some, staying fit is skipping meals, or depriving themselves with food. These are all myths. Staying or keeping fit is a lifestyle &#8211; a series of different healthy small things done eventually tantamount to a new whole way of living.</p>
<p>Achieving fit and healthy body requires holistic change in the lifestyle. However, diet and physical exercise are perfect places to start the shifting to a healthier lifestyle.</p>
<p>Diet is an important area that needs to be monitored for those wanting to lose weight. Often, even though people know the importance of eating healthy food and the implication of improper food intake, people still find it hard to follow the suggested healthy ways. There are the people who are living and working to eat.</p>
<p>They get pleasure from eating, and by feeding the insatiable desires of their palate. People should understand that people should eat in order to live and not the other way around.</p>
<p>People who are living and working to eat have higher probability of dying from heart attack and other serious diseases. In addition, people who have bad eating attitudes usually feel uneasy, and get easily irritated. Also, these people usually lack the energy to perform well physically and mentally.</p>
<p>On the other hand, as important as diet is exercise or physical activity. Exercise is a requirement of our body. It needs to work and burn excessive calories and fats. It helps in the unloading of stress for our psychological wellbeing.</p>
<p>For at least 45 to 1 hours daily, our body needs to perform sustained physical exercise. Also it helps in the circulation and distribution of blood and oxygen to different parts of the body that will result to healthy and efficient mind and body performance.</p>
<p>Weight loss and fitness are not easy to do. It requires a whole system cooperation of mind and body. A fit and healthy body is not a product of overnight sacrifices. It is a series of consistent small works that result into greatness.</p>
<p>Apart from exercise and diet, achieving and keeping healthy and fit body requires all the body systems&#8217; synchronization. The mind should work with the body and vice versa. A body is a product of our everyday habits &#8211; bad habits will reflect through the body, and so as good and healthy habits.</p>
<p>Keep in mind that people&#8217;s attitude, thinking and lifestyle have an effect on the body. Better make a shift to a healthier lifestyle for that healthy, comfortable, and fit looking body.</p>

<p>The first few weeks of a weekly exercise program is very exciting, but then many people find they are not accomplishing their goals as fast as they had hoped. Soon afterwards, the enthusiasm drops, results fade, and the confidence in acquire the goals and maintaining the end results diminishes.</p>
<p>The average person lasts for approximately six months before losing interest and dropping their routine. Fortunately, there are common factors and patterns to this decline in interest, so once you spot them, you can do something to keep yourself on track and motivated.</p>
<p>Make sure you are realistic about your goals and the time that will be needed to be committed to in order to maintain your routine. Allowing 3 workouts a week at a maximum of 60 minutes each is reasonable and be sure to factor in travel time (if working out at a gym) and shower time so that you are not finding yourself cutting corners due to running late. Get yourself into a routine /schedule when it comes to the days you workout. If a routine is set and adhered to, it will become more of an automatic action and will fit in as a regular part of your life.</p>
<p>There will be times you will not feel you have the energy to do your workout. Instead of skipping it, restructure that days routine by doing the exercises, but at a lower intensity or for only half the time. It may help to adjust your mealtimes as well; some find that if they are hungry or have just eaten they have too many distractions to want to exercise.</p>
<p>Finding an exercise buddy will help you stay motivated as well. You will offer support to each other and help the other stay on track on those days that you would rather just stay at home.</p>
<p>Expecting some physical discomfort is normal and common for most who workout weekly especially for the first weeks of your program. Your body is working to improve its strength and endurance so it needs time to adjust. Be sure that it is only discomfort and not actual pain. Pain tells you to stop what you are doing because something is wrong. If you are uncomfortable every time you workout try working a warm up and cool down session. A series of slow stretches and regulated breathing will help.</p>
<p>As your body feels as if it is leveling out and adapting to the level of effort made during the workout, increase the activity level by approximately 10% to help improve your fitness level and add variety to the routine. This will help to evade boredom. </p>
<p>If weight loss, as opposed to toning up, or building strength is you main goal, then being realistic is a key factor of your routine. Initially weight loss will be rapid, from not only increased activity, but from general changes in metabolism caused by changes in diet and water loss. Within a month most people level out in weight loss, and instead of achieving 5 to 8 pounds of loss in a week, they will lose 1 to 5 pounds. On average only 1 to 5 pounds a month will be accomplished after that. This occurs because the body has become use to the changes in other related habits, and also because muscle is now taking the place of some of the fat that has burned off. Muscle of course weighs more than fat and so the number of pounds being dropped will be lessened. Taking measurements may become a more effective means to calculate the success of your results from the workout if this aspect is important to you.</p>
<p>Ultimately, all of us are different and get various results from exercising weekly. It all depends on your current level of fitness, physical condition, receiving <a href="http://www.extremefitness.ca/personal_training">personal training</a>, type of physical activity, and the time a person devotes to their workout routine. The important thing to remember is that realistic goals need to be set and if they cannot be met, then, instead of giving up, or throwing in the towel, simply revisit your workout routine and make revisions to help keep you active and motivated.</p>

<p>Exercise and diet can be much to think about but the effective weight loss they bring can make good health last for a longer time.</p>
<p>People nowadays are too busy working and doing every kind of activity that they seem to have no time to cook food at home. Especially on working days, they leave the house, eat out at lunch, and when they get home, order something to eat from the nearest fast food restaurant. This all seems convenient to them because they get to sleep and rest right after. But one thing they usually pay no heed to is their fitness. Fast foods are processed foods and contain higher amounts of calories compared to when meals from fresh produce are prepared at home. So they are actually exposing themselves to probable diseases that are associated with having too much cholesterol, sugar, and fat.</p>
<p>So to avoid this from happening and if we notice that our weight is not anymore normal for our age, we should learn how to exercise well. A strenuous physical activity can help us to be in good shape, may it be doing sports, working out in the gym or just in the house doing some lawn work. We should be able to give time for these kinds of activities in our daily schedule. Although some would refuse to make it a daily habit because they can always go to the gym in the weekend, making it a daily routine would still be beneficial than that a weekly one. A good reason for that is when people do exercise on a weekly basis, they tend to be lazy and postpone the activity to the following week but if they make it a daily one, then the idea of moving it to another day would be unlikely. Fitness training involves self discipline. Because of the unhealthy food that we eat and all that fat that we take in, we should expel them from our bodies by burning excessive calories that are preventing us to have a healthy body. And because being obese can sometimes have an effect on our self esteem, discipline is the way to achieve our goal to not just having good physical health but a stable emotional being as well.</p>
<p>Apart from exercising, we should also be concerned about what we eat. A balanced diet is the best way to living a good healthy life. If we work out but we still eat the same fatty foods and the same amount of it then we are just making a fool out of ourselves. We are just wasting efforts in trying to eliminate fat and all the excess weight in our body. We should know what to eat because being aware means that we are taking care of ourselves and our family and we don&#8217;t want illnesses taking our loved ones away. It may not be as convenient as going to fast food joints but it surely secures our health for the future. Diet plans are a good way of keeping our family from eating the wrong food and making sure that they eat what is good. We should get fresh produce from the market and try to avoid processed ones like food in cans and those with preservatives. Home made food doesn&#8217;t just assure that they are healthy but they can make the family closer.</p>
<p>A very good reason why we do this is because we should not take life for granted. We avoid being obese and fat because we don&#8217;t want life to be taken away from us. We should embrace life and share its goodness. This is a good reason to stay fit.</p>

<p>How to Burn Belly Fat Fast</p>
<p>Tip #1 &#8211; Avoid &#8220;quick fix&#8221; diets that promise overnight result</p>
<p>There are a lot of different &#8220;quick fixes&#8221;, but what you really want to avoid is using a &#8220;crash diet.&#8221; A crash diet essentially means that you try to starve yourself by purposely eating as little as possible in hopes it will help you burn fat. For example, many people try to eat only one meal a day and try to maintain this as a lifestyle. A crash diet will only cause you more grief then results. It will put your body into starvation mode and crash your metabolism. You may lose some belly fat but in the long run your metabolism will slow down and you will lose muscle mass. This makes it even harder to burn belly fat.</p>
<p>Don&#8217;t use a crash diet. Try to eat 5-6 smaller meals in a day. This will keep you full, and will prevent spikes in your blood sugar. Eating high quality protein (such as chicken, turkey, fish, tuna, etc) will help you lose your belly fat as these foods take a lot of energy to digest.</p>
<p>Vitamin rich foods packed with minerals and high nutritional value such as fruits and vegetables will help you lose your belly fat because they are not very calorie dense. This means you can eat a lot of fruits and vegetables and not consume as many calories as you would eating processed food.</p>
<p>This helps you burn belly fat and do it fast because you are essentially eating more food but consuming fewer calories.</p>
<p>Tip #2 &#8211; Really push yourself when you workout!</p>

Pushing yourself hard when you workout gets your metabolism going and it will keep it elevated so you keep burning calories long after you are finished working out.</p>
<p>The trick is to push your self hard for short periods of time. Not for a long, extended workout.</p>
<p>Try the following exercises and read the instructions below. You will feel a huge difference between the intensity of this vs. your old workouts.</p>

<p>15 dumbbell swings</p>
<p>12 pushups</p>
<p>Do this series of exercises and do as many rounds as you can in 10 minutes. You will feel how intense this workout is if you do this!</p>
<p>Tip 3 &#8211; Instead of doing long, slow cardio, try doing intervals</p>
<p>Interval training will help you burn belly fat fast because it will help boost your metabolism for hours after you are done working out. High intensity interval training switches back and forth from high and low intensities, so you are still pushing your self out of your comfort zone for short, quick bursts.</p>
<p>Since you alternate between these intensities in a very meticulous way, you will find yourself working much harder than before. 20 minutes of interval training often feels like 60 minutes of normal, same speed cardio!</p>

Some foods will help you burn fat. Let&#8217;s examine what foods will give you the fat you need in your diet and why no-fat diets fail.</p>
<p>The number one reason that extreme no-fat and low fat diets fail is that people mistake low fat with healthy. Just because a snack is low in fat doesn&#8217;t mean that it is good for you.</p>

<p>A study came out a while back that discovered a key difference with people who are successful at losing weight and those who are not. The simple act of keeping a food diary was found to be responsible for losing twice as much weight as not keeping one. These findings will be will be published in the August issue of the American Journal of Preventive Medicine and were funded by the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute at the National Institutes of Health.</p>
<p>The more food records people kept, the more weight they were lost, said lead Jack Hollis Ph.D</p>
<p>This should come as no surprise to owners of my Weight Loss Hypnosis System CDs. I include a food journal along with an Action Item Form, Personal Weight Loss Contract, Monthly Recap Form, and other support documents. <p>I just did a search for food diaries online and found a very popular site thats selling access to them for $9 a month! That&#8217;s just plain crazy. This stuff is not complicated. Its food. Its your body. Its not necessary to get lost in the minutia of doing a statistical analysis of your eating habits. It is important however to know what you eat. Thats why I provide all those tracking forms with my weight loss CD system.</p>

<p>Heres the idea behind keeping a food journal: by writing down everything you eat on a daily basis, you will begin to become objectively aware of the calories you are consuming and the source of those calories. The key here is that its objective. Youre not relying on your own selective memory to determine your current eating habits, its all written out there in black and white.</p>
<p>Print out the food journal provided below. Make 7 copies of it. For the next week fill one out day by day and make sure to include what you drink too. Then, at the end of the week, take a look back and notice the patterns. This is your starting point.</p>
<p>When you want to change your life, its important to know where you are now, where you want to get to, and then start taking the necessary steps to get there.</p>

<p>For those who have a persistent weight problem that hasn`t been responsive to diet or exercise, lap band surgery is a good option to lose that extra weight quickly. It is, however, an invasive surgery, so some recovery time is to be expected.</p>
<p>How Long Will Your Recovery Take? Everyone wants to know how long they should plan for recovery from this type of surgery. Each person is different, but in general, you can expect to be out of commission for four to eight days. </p>
<p>Some people find that they recover in record time, but others will need a full two weeks to recover. You can use past experience as a guide. Have you required longer recovery times for previous surgeries or hospital stays, such as giving birth? If so, then plan for a longer period of time to be sure that you won`t be forced to go back to work while still feeling off.</p>
<p>The Importance of Time Off Technically, you could probably be back at work the day after surgery, but this is a bad idea for a number of reasons. First of all, even if you feel pretty good, your incision needs to heal. Having surgery of any kind is traumatic for the body, and it is important to recognize this and take it easy for a bit to allow yourself to recuperate.</p>
<p>Another consideration is your energy level. After the procedure, you`ll be limited to clear liquids for at least a couple of days, which is great for your body, but can make you feel pretty weak. Even if you`re not in pain, you will likely find that you are too weak to work or do much during those first few days.</p>
<p>If you do start doing too much too soon, you`ll quickly find out. Pain at the incision site and generally not feeling good are signs that you should probably just sit down and rest. While an exercise routine is very important to the success of the <a href="http://www.ciboclinic.com">lap band surgery</a> and will help you lose weight faster, you should not start hiking right after the surgery; you`ll need to wait at least a couple of weeks before engaging in any real exercise. This can put strain on your body and for the first few days, at least, so it`s not a good idea.  Taking care of yourself is important. After all, you had the surgery to become healthier, so take the extra time to recuperate and make sure you start your new health regimen on the right foot. A couple of weeks off from work won`t make a big difference in the long run, but for your body it will be well worth it!</p>
