Top Secret Fat Loss Secrets Review – The Ultimate Obesity Cure?

Monday, October 5th, 2009
by Paula Moore

The amazing reaction to Top Secret Fat Loss Secret, when it was released, must have surprised even the researcher and author, Dr. Suzanne Gudakunst.

So much comment and discussion about a weight loss plan! It was certainly unprecedented and led more people to investigate what all the fuss was about. Dr. Gudakunst was criticized for being revolutionary, ridiculed that she could even suggest such things, praised by those who lost weight with her plan and was even the subject of death threats trying to stop the publication of her book.

And so the world met Dr. Suzanne Gudakunst, a doctor from Arizona. Over a period of time, she realized that there was a link between excess body weight and intestinal problems; that obese patients also had intestinal problems. In 2002 she began testing her theory with her patients. The results of her research and the plan she developed with her overweight patients is the subject of her book, Top Secret Fat Loss Secrets.

Dr. Gudakunst found that when the colon was cleansed and the body was detoxified, great amounts of weight were lost, within a relatively short time frame. She discovered that sustained weight loss wasn’t possible unless the digestive system was clean. Patients lost record amounts of weight; 25, 50 and even upward of 100 pounds in some cases. Her patients also reported feeling much better generally and having increased energy levels. Had the good doctor discovered the real “secret” to effective weight loss?

The theory behind the discovery is based on the doctor’s claim that our bodies are all susceptible to plaque on the digestive tract and invasion from parasites throughout the intestines. Both these factors affect the absorption of nutrients from the food we eat, and without these nutrients our bodies can’t function the way they should. Without proper nutrition, our bodies become diseased which accounts for the numbers of deaths from cancer.

One of the strategies of Fat Loss Secrets is to flush away the plaque and parasites to leave the digestive tract clean and able to function properly. While Fat Loss Secrets has been described as just another detox diet, there is more to it than that.

Despite the high volume of hype that surrounds Dr. Gudakunst’s book and the flamboyant language used on the sales page, this weight loss program could be just the thing for the many overweight people who have tried to lose weight but failed. Look past all the hype to find out if this plan will help you.

Nowhere, in all the reports and reviews, is the ’secret’ revealed; you have to buy the book to read all about it. Fortunately, it will only cost you $37 (although there is a more expensive option too), so you are not taking much of a risk to find out what the secret is. Your purchase is backed up by a good money-back-guarantee, so you can buy with confidence.

Testimonials from satisfied customers rave about how they lost lots of weight fast, and how well they now feel. These, coupled with amount of controversy that has accompanied the book’s release should be enough to make you want to find out what the “secret” is.

100’s Of Calories Saved Daily From Beverages With Magic Drops: We’re Drinking More Calories Than Ever!

Thursday, October 1st, 2009
by George Napoli

You may be one of those people that fall for the word magic when put together with anything, like magic pills, magic drops or even magic potions that help you lose weight. As you probably already know by now, there are no magic pills or formulas when it comes to losing weight, yet people earn thousands of dollars promising magic formulas that end up being empty promises.

Losing weight is no simple task and no matter how hard you look, you won’t find any magic out there. You just have to be committed, disciplined and motivated to stay the course. But here’s a simple twist on calories and losing weight and quickly becoming the real eye opener. Its one thing to count the calories you consume in normal daily food intake, but then who the heck is paying attention or even counting daily calories consumed through beverages?

All of us have to count calories in drinks and you will also, as soon as you understand exactly how many calories an individual person consumes daily in drinks. What it means gaining weight by adding a lot more pounds annually, along with inches to your mid section that becomes the actual tell tale from it. Men’s Health Magazine, 3/ 09 runs a summary editorial precisely on point titled; were drinking more calories than before.

N.C.U. reports claim in that recent summary: 1. the typical individual drinks four hundred and fifty calories daily 2. that amounts to twenty nine pounds we put on over a yearly basis 3. most fruit juices, beverages and drinks are flavored artificially and or are sweetened using high fructose corn syrup, especially for children’s drinks that amount to only sweetened water

High calorie beverages are reported from Harvard who is chanting the same words with a modern tune. The Medical School prepares a document on concept recently. Title: Obesity and Sugar- high calorie drinks to blame. Now its more than 100’s of calories a day that becomes extra pounds annually, plus inches at the end of the day. Now more than ever its about your health.

Their report brings serious medical conditions from artificial sweeteners, along with calories from sodas, pops, juices and other beverages. Their claim is that women who drank one or more daily beverages with these high fructose sweeteners were 83% more likely to develop type 2 diabetes than women who didn’t. Not surprisingly, they were also more likely to gain weight.

In a nut shell, bottles of flavoring water on the super market shelves isn’t the best solution either since they contain high sugar amounts and hurt the wallet. Look to more flavored h2o with 0 count and look at the label of what you drink- servings number and servings of calories, both are good beginning locations. Always see ways to enhance the flavor of tap water without adding calories. That’s your best solution overall.

Lastly, not the last say of course, with the total calories consumed on a daily basis, combined with your wellness and good health at risk, keeping a watch on the label of juices etc., just may help you keep your notch in your belt where it belongs! Use more water and look to make it taste better without adding calories. Water is the real magic formula and as far as those magic drops; let’s just call them natural flavoring concentrates with 0 calories for now. They work and maybe you will find the magic in them too if they assist you in your weight loss goals!!!

Low Glycemic Index Diets: The Safe Way To Lose Weight! (And Get The Healthy Body Of Your Dreams)

Sunday, July 26th, 2009
by Beatrix Drinkwater

I believe many of us have experienced this scenario: You go on a diet, lose weight, but when you start eating “normally” you soon regain all the weight you lost. And no matter what diet you’ve been on, it ends the same way.

Hold on!This is not true for the low glycemic index diets. These will certainly make you lose weight, but also make you slim for life!

Why don’t other diets work? Many weight loss diets make you starve in order to reduce the intake of energy, thus making your body utilize the fat deposits in your cells. However, this is not the right way to go, since your body will react quite the opposite way, preparing to store as much as possible of the energy in the food you eventually put in your mouth.

The reason for this bodily reaction is the fact that your body is smart, accommodating to the starvation situation and saving as much as possible of the available energy. This is the reason for the increasing weight gain when you stop dieting.

Then in what way are the low glycemic index diets different? Basically, this kind of weight loss diet is not mainly meant to make you lose weight, but to teach you to eat in a more primeval manner, the way we are meant to eat. When our species developed through evolution, where there any refined sugar or plain white flour around?

Nope. When you eat those food items your blood sugar values will spike, followed by a similar spike in your insulin levels. This will eventually make your cells store the sugar as fat, and that’s not what we want, is it. If you instead choose food with low glycemic index, that will make your blood sugar values rise only slowly, your insulin levels will never reach those high values.

And the best thing about it all is that if you choose food with a low GI value, your cells will actually start to burn fat! The only way to lose weight for good are the low glycemic index diets.

With most other diets it is easy to fail because you are forced to go hungry, and it gets so hard to resist those cravings for something sweet. However, with the GI diets this will not be the case. Instead, you will feel energetic, in a good mood and a lot less irritable, all as a result from eating the kind of food that your body was designed for.

How To Lose Flab Fast Sooner than Consuming The Right Foods

Saturday, July 25th, 2009
by Julie Ball

Choosing, preparing and eating the “correct foods” to lose weight is trouble-free – regrettably really sticking to the diet is the difficult part.

Hence before you even think about food think first about mind set. Consuming the right foods to lose weight quickly takes stamina, determination and self discipline.

Focus 100% on your end aim and plan in advance just as though you were going to relinquish smoking or jump out of an aeroplane with a parachute.

Spend a few weeks getting yourself fired up, eager and ready for the resolve and sacrifices you’ll have to make for the very greatest results possible.

Be pleased about that dinners out, nights down the bar, visits to McDonalds and many more “day by day” implications furthermore will be off limits whilst you’re in your rapid weight loss period.

Therefore as long as the fervor you feel about getting slim is greater than your ardor for junk food you must be just fine and you’ll be stunned how quickly you manage to make progress on the way to your goals.

To consume right in order to lose weight quickly you need to pretty-much remove fat, cut your calories down by reducing your food ingestion and consuming foods lower in energy and that will take longer to burn, and possibly also think negative calorie diets.

For the very best, most rapid results I propose you pretty much cast out processed foods in total – yet those labelled as “lose weight” or “healthy” meals.

Whilst “Weight Watchers” macaroni cheese or beef soup can and will help you lose weight as part of a calorie-controlled diet for the fastest results you’re best to ignore even these.

Go for the “cleanest”, most usual, simple foods available. OK, so they won’t be so scrumptious for you but they’ll give you a great head start on everybody else and will probably also save you quite a bit of money into the deal.

In provisions of drinks, toss out the alcohol and the soda. Live ideally on water or if you have got to have a bit flavored go for fruit juice (in moderation – there are yet quite a a small number of calories in it), skimp milk, tea or coffee.

Regarding tea and coffee go for good for your health options. Hold back on milk not cream and artificial sweetener if you must. However steer clear of “Starbucks” at all costs. If I told you how many calories were in the normal Latte or Capuccino I think you’d pass out!

So what are “pure” foods to assist you lose weight promptly?

Trim meats, seafood, fruit, vegetables and slow-release forms of carbohydrates for instance pasta, brown rice, brown bread (contested by a quantity of diet experts), potatoes and whole meal pittas.

Due to it being such a mammoth subject we basically cannot cover how to lose weight promptly by eating the right foods in one small article but with any luck this impression has been of use to you.

The Obesity And Arthritis Connection

Wednesday, July 15th, 2009
by Sarah Gardner

Frequently, obesity and arthritis are seen in the same person. The question is, which one caused the other one, or how does that happen? These are the three possible explanations.

Obesity/Arthritis- first comes obesity

When a person carries extra pounds on their frame, they are putting additional stress on their joints. This extra pressure reduces the amount of cartilage separating the bones, and even causes wear on the bones. Arthritis patients most often have a couple of major complaints regarding pain: their knees hurt. Pain in the hips is also sometimes an issue, and both can be explained by the wearing away of cartilage and bone caused by extra weight.

Studies suggest that if the obesity is a problem before the arthritis, losing even a small amount of weight can help reduce symptoms.

Even though a joint replacement operation can really help arthritis sufferers, most surgeons prefer to avoid operating on patients who are obese since they always run a higher risk of surgery complications.

Arthritis and Obesity: Arthritis is the precursor

If you’re one of those people who likes to indulge in all your favorite foods, and then work out hard to burn it all off, you will likely have to make some changes after an arthritis diagnosis. Since arthritis tends to bring a lot of stiffness and joint pain, it’s possible you won’t always be able to work out as much as you did previously, and that extra food will stick with you.

If you develop symptoms of arthritis, see your doctor. He or she may prescribe oral or topical medications to treat the pain. Your doctor may also suggest injections to the affected joints, physical therapy to keep you active, or joint replacement surgery.

If you are no longer able to exercise as vigorously as you are used to doing, remember to cut back on the number of calories you eat. If the body does not use up the calories it takes in, it stores the extra calories as fat. Since it?s much easier to keep weight off than it is to take weight off, weigh yourself every few days to make sure the numbers on the scale are not creeping up.

Obesity and Arthritis: the things that can cause both

As we have learned, obesity and arthritis have a close correlation. Basically, if someone is suffering from one of them, they are likely to suffer from the other also. However, a “correlation” is not identical to a “causation”. To say that there is causation means that obesity causes arthritis, or vice-versa, and that is not the case. The two have a correlation, which means that neither appears to cause the other, but they go together frequently.

Similarly, scientists have wondered if there is a third factor involved in the arthritis/obesity equation that might cause both conditions to develop. Age, for instance, is a risk factor that is associated with both arthritis and obesity. Unfortunately, scientists have not yet uncovered any causative factor that can be prevented.

The smartest way to try to prevent both obesity and arthritis is to eat moderately, get in plenty of physical activity, and make sure to see your doctor right away if you develop pain that makes you unable to exercise.

Metabolism Foods – Not That Low-Carb Diet!

Sunday, July 12th, 2009
by Dan Beckwith

Over the last several years, low-carb dieting has become a big catch phrase in the diet industry. It’s a fact that many of the high carb foods so many of us ingest are not high metabolism foods, but we do need carbohydrates for energy. Simply put, we should not completely eliminate carbs from our diets. Why?

Low-carb diets can have long-term health risks. If you do get yourself involved in a low carbohydrate diet, make sure that you keep it short term. Some of these health risks are actually quite alarming.

For one, diets that are high in animal proteins build up acids in your bloodstream that come as by products of digesting large amounts of animal protein. Unfortunately, our bodies leach calcium from our bones to neutralize these acids. This is a particularly severe problem for women and can can lead to osteoporosis over the long term.

Additionally, there is a higher risk of cancer with these types of diets over the long term. The American Institute for Cancer Research states that low carbohydrate diets that are low in whole grains, fruits and vegetables (all excellent metabolism foods) and at the same time high in animal proteins increase your risk of getting certain types of cancer.

There’s another problem with low carbohydrate diets, which is that they increase the amount of fats we eat. In fact, studies have shown that countries that consume vast amounts of fats also have the highest rates of breast cancer. Therefore, particularly if you are a woman, make sure you get a large amount of high-fiber metabolism foods in your diet to reduce your risk of breast cancer.

Even more alarming, over consumption of saturated fat is a known risk factor for raising LDL cholesterol, heart disease and stroke.

To effectively lose weight, we need to include carbohydrates, proteins and fats in our diets. Our body needs them all – in the right proportions. There are many alternative high metabolism foods in each of the three categories that are healthier than others, but we need all three.

The only sure way to lose weight effectively and keep it off is to increase your metabolic rate with the best metabolism foods for your body. It’s healthy to do this, too, as long as you do so safely. It’s also a pretty simple thing to do and it’s never going to mean you’ll starve yourself. In fact, if you’re hungry, you’re not doing it right.

by Max Thames

In just those ten short days youll be able to change your appetite and metabolism, increase the presence of feel good hormones, veer away from unhealthy habits, cleanse you system and boost your energy levels. All those wonder benefits are on the tip of your fingertips.

That is what the Master Cleanse can do; it can even double as a reducing diet and you may lose 20 pounds as well. This diet was conceived in the 1940s but it is still hugely popular all over the globe. Why is this so? A lot of people trust the diet since it really works.

But before you can harness all the goodness with the diet, you must be able to have all the information that will help you get through the diet.

The diet may have been designed to address all your health issues but there can be road bumps that youll encounter along the way. This is why you should be guided by the Master Cleanse Secrets.

The Master Cleanse is a form of liquid fast. Although it is gentler than a real fast because you will still have all the nutrients and energy to support you throughout your diet, the fact remains that you wont be able to eat for ten days.

But even if this is so, not being able to eat anything solid can be very disturbing to other people.

Trust me, you will begin to miss the chewing mechanism of your mouth and not to mention the fact that youll be getting lots of hunger pangs. The Master Cleanse Secrets can be a lifesaver since it will give dieters a cheat list of foods that they can safely consume and not have any bearing on the diets effectiveness.

Another aspect of a fast is that it intentionally slows down your metabolism because its a way to preserve your body from losing too much energy. It stops the breaking down of nutrients and saves the energy for more essential tasks but that can defeat the weight loss part of the diet.

The Master Cleanse Secrets will give you techniques to keep your metabolism up so that you keep shedding off those pounds and keep them off for good.

Weight Loss And Master Cleanse Secrets

Friday, July 10th, 2009
by Jeremy Hart

The evidences and testimonials are all overwhelming and they all point to one thing: the Master Cleanse diet is effective in detoxifying the body and for losing weight.

But just because this is so does not mean that the diet isnt demanding at all. You need to approach the diet with all the information you could possibly need, an open mind and strong discipline. And this is why you will need to have a copy of Master Cleanse Secrets nearby while youre on the diet.

The Master Cleanse diet will require you to not eat for a straight number of days so basically the Master Cleanse diet is a kind of liquid fast.

A liquid fast is a kind of fast that allows you to only take in liquids (in this case lemonade made with lemon juice, cayenne pepper and maple syrup) which is why a liquid fast is gentler than a real fast.

But dont get me wrong, the Master Cleanse diet is a gentler form of fast so you wont feel really weak and faint after having to go through days without food. The maple syrup will see that you still get all the caloric requirements that you need. The lemon juice and the cayenne pepper are added to the mix because they have great cleansing properties.

But the real part of the diet which makes dieters crumble under pressure is the psychological and the physical part of the detoxification process.

After not eating for an entire day, your body will start to notice this and will then tell you that its hungry.

Once you stop eating for a period of hours leading to days, your body will sense that something is up and it will signal your body to react in the most obvious way”to eat. This will cause hunger pangs and, silly as it sounds, you may even miss chewing. The Master Cleanse Secrets will give you an entire cheat list of foods that you can eat and still get the diet to work for you.

And then there is this issue with the side effects of detoxification. It is normal for you to feel your that your joints are becoming sore or your body aching in different places. Thats all due to the strong cleansing thats happening inside of your body. The solution?

The Master Cleanse Secrets will give you trick and techniques to minimize those annoying side effects.

Metabolism Definition – What Is My RMR?

Wednesday, July 8th, 2009
by Dan Beckwith

Metabolism definition – Your metabolism is the way your body handles calories. It can burn them for energy, or store them in the form of fat.

If you have a “slow” or less efficient metabolism, it can show in many ways…If you are distressed because your favorite jeans don’t fit anymore, your belt doesn’t quite reach all the way around and so on. You CAN do something about it and create a healthier and better life for yourself.

Losing weight doesn’t have to be difficult. Plus, it does not mean you have to starve yourself. In fact, if you are ever hungry – you aren’t doing it right!

There are so many diet programs out there, that it can be very confusing. Too many “Get Thin Quick” programs – that come with so many promises, it boggles the mind. They all come with slick advertising and tons of testimonials, and they are quite tempting. But keep in mind, few if any of them show their participants a year later. Why? Because they’ve all gained back the weight… plus more!

So, the time has come for you to take charge of your body and master your weight. Losing weight is all about the efficiency of your metabolism. Once you fully understand how it works and you can calculate what your “resting metabolic rate” or RMR is, you’ve already done half the work.

RMR explained…

Metabolism definition – Your resting metabolic rate is the speed at which your body turns calories into fuel even when you’re resting and not actively doing anything. Several things influence this resting metabolic rate. For example…

One of the things that can influence our metabolism is our age. As we get older, we have a tendency to gain weight because our resting metabolic rate drops, as opposed to where it was when we were younger.

Most diets trample all over our metabolism. When we dramatically cut back on our caloric intake, we will lose a few pounds but at the same time it slows down our metabolism.

That means when we go off the diet, we’ll be gaining back all the weight we lost — but now, we’ve done ourselves a disservice because the dieting has slowed down our metabolism, which means that we gain weight much easier. And so, presto, we gain the weight back plus more.

In American vernacular, that’s often called “yo-yo dieting.” You lose weight, you gain it back faster, you lose again, you gain it back, and so on.

Rapidly losing a lot of weight could also mean losing a lot of muscle. This too puts us in a dangerous position. Muscles are essential to our metabolism. Muscles burn more calories than fat. So, any good diet program will include exercise. The more we can tone and build muscle, the more calories we will burn – even when doing nothing.

So when it comes to increasing your metabolism, you don’t have to do it in a difficult or painful fashion. Learn more about metabolism definition and how to increase your metabolism and get those pounds coming off by visiting my website. You’ll learn what you need to know so that you can safely increase your metabolism and lose weight; and while you’re there, take a look at my free mini-course, “Free Weight Loss Tips!

Speeding Up Metabolism – Eating Right Isn’t the Only Factor in Being Skinny

Sunday, July 5th, 2009
by Dan Beckwith

Speeding up metabolism can at times seem to be an impossible, mysterious task. Unfortunately, we have all likely been in this situation. Imagine, you have the friend, or the group of friends, that can chow down on anything they want without gaining weight. Meanwhile, you’ve tried seemingly dozens of diets and can’t get your weight in check despite eating healthy. Sometimes life isn’t fair after all.

The hidden factor at work here is our metabolic rate. Our metabolism is what determines how many calories we burn all day long, and it’s quite different for different people. Tons of factors play a role in determining our metabolism, including our age and gender, how much muscle and fat we have, how much sleep we get and how active we are. Of course, genetics and other health conditions also factor in heavily.

It’s no wonder why it’s such a confusing subject. But once you understand your metabolism, it’s fairly easy to control and you can lose weight at will. Speeding up metabolism isn’t that hard to do.

One rule of thumb is that the more muscle you have, the higher your metabolism will be. This is because muscles require the use of more energy for maintenance and repair. Men have an edge on women in this department, as they naturally have more muscle mass and their testosterone levels make it easier to build more.

Women are at another disadvantage, and that’s menopause. When menopause strikes a woman’s metabolism takes a nosedive. To counteract this, women especially have to exercise. If you workout hard and put on a bit of muscle, it will go a long way toward speeding up metabolism and you’ll start shedding fat. You’ll improve your all around health as well in many different ways.

Your goal for losing weight has to be kept within reason however, anything more than one or two pounds a week is unhealthy. It’s also unrealistic over the long term. To achieve your healthy weight loss, you should be exercising four or five times a week. That sounds like a lot, but once you reach your goal, you can cut back to just two or three times per week.

Exercising doesn’t have to be hard or boring. There are many alternatives to the standard jogging and crunches. You could swim, play tennis, dance, do some vigorous yard work and many others. Doing something active, even if it may not be the optimal exercise, is better than not doing anything. It all helps in speeding up metabolism.

Take the time to study metabolism and learn how to control it for your own benefit. It isn’t difficult, and before you know it people will be jealous of YOU!

When you’re ready to learn more about speeding up metabolism, take a look at my website. You’ll also be able to get an absolutely free mini-course titled “Fast Weight Loss Tips”.
