<p>Fortunately, I&#8217;ve already navigated these waters and I&#8217;m ready to share what I&#8217;ve learned with you.</p>
<p>So without further ado, here are 4 essential arm exercises for the female body:</p>
<p><b>1. Tricep extensions.</b> The best way to do these is overhead. They do an excellent job at targeting the long head of the triceps, the area where arm flab hangs from. Now if you really want to work this area, get a full stretch at the bottom portion of the movement. Just make sure you use lighter weights when doing this.</p>
<p><b>2. Narrow grip barbell curls.</b> You shouldn&#8217;t neglect your biceps if you want that complete toned arm look. And remember that your biceps muscle is the first part of your arm that someone will see when greeting you from the front. Narrow grip curls do an excellent job at working the outside part of your biceps, the part that is most visible.</p>
<p><b>3. Forearm curls.</b> While not the most effective exercise for reducing arm flab, this movement will do wonders for loose forearms. If you feel that your forearms need additional work, include this exercise in your routine.</p>
<p><b>4. Incline dumbbell curls.</b> This exercise is an ego killer. A top-tier movement for the biceps, expect to use much less weight than usual because this is one of the rare exercises that will work your biceps through their entire range of motion. And any exercise that works a muscle through its entire range of motion will provide accelerated arm toning results.</p>
<p>The bottom line is to ignore all the fads and flashy gadgets and stick to what works. Only then will you be able to get the arm toning results you want and deserve. The best exercise programs are the ones that use basic movements with lots of intensity.</p>

Unfortunately, this is myth as researchers and physical fitness professions all know to be true. Sit-ups and crunches are NOT the most effective forms of exercises for your abs.</p>
<p>Why and how was this myth perpetuated? Since early middle school days, gym teachers have been pounding into kids to do their sit-ups as part of an exercise program. At one point, I remember I was timed on how many sit-ups I could do in a minute. This exercise program was probably taken from the military. Of course sit-ups and crunches do work your abdominal exercise, but like the military, they work best for people who are already in good condition; not for people who are just starting to get into shape.</p>
<p>So if you are starting out, what Exercise to Lose Weight should you be doing to get your abdominals into shape?</p>
<p>This may come as a surprise to you, but not to Pilates and yoga instructors. The Plank is one of the best exercises you can do to strengthen your core muscle. Pilates is a form of exercise instruction that focuses on strengthening your core muscles.</p>

This means that if you are just starting out, and you don&#8217;t have 6 pack abs &#8211; don&#8217;t waste your efforts by starting with crunches and sit-ups.
